Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
It is our great pleasure to invite all colleagues participating in and contributing with their scientific work to the 72nd Congress of ESCVS, the European Society of Cardiovascular Surgery, which will take place in Istanbul, Turkey, on May 25–28, 2024, to this Special Issue of Hearts dedicated to the Congress.
The 72nd Congress of the ESCVS is the most important meeting for cardiovascular surgeons from all over the world. Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death worldwide, and it is our responsibility as researchers to work towards solutions to this global health challenge. I encourage you all to take this opportunity to interact with your colleagues, share your knowledge and experience, and engage in meaningful discussions that will help us improve our understanding of cardiovascular disease.
This year's congress will feature a comprehensive program of scientific sessions, including keynote lectures, symposia, workshops, hybrid sessions, live broadcasts of cases from around the world with live aortic context, poster presentations, and finally, the ‘Young Surgeon Award Sessions’ for cardiac and vascular surgery. The program will cover a wide range of topics.
We hope that you will attend the 72nd Congress of ESCVS in Istanbul and submit your scientific contribution for this Special Issue.
We look forward to receiving your high-quality original research articles, reviews, and communications to explore and share the state of the art in the field.
