Dr. Daniele Bartoli Wins MDPI Young Mathematician Award

We are pleased to announce that the winner of the 2018 MDPI Young Mathematician Award is Dr. Daniele Bartoli.

Dr. Daniele Bartoli holds a tenure-track position with the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Perugia, Italy. His research interests are in coding theory, including quantum coding and Galois geometries. He received a degree in Mathematics from the University of Perugia, Italy, in September 2008, and a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the same university in 2012, with a dissertation on coding theory. He has published more than 60 scientific papers in leading international journals.

As the awardee, Dr. Bartoli will receive an honorarium of 2000 CHF; an offer to publish a free publication in four journals (Algorithms, Axioms, Fractal and Fractional, and Cryptography) in 2019 or 2020 (submitted in 2019), with no limit to the number of pages; and a commemorative certificate.

We would like to thank for all the abundant and excellent nominations received, as well as the committee members for carefully considering all the nominations. From the editors of our mathematical journals—a big congrats to Dr. Bartoli!
