The 1st International Online Conference on Forecasting
We are pleased to announce the 1st International Online Conference on Forecasting (IOCFC 2026). This conference is organized by the open access MDPI journal Forecasting (ISSN: 2571-9394; IF: 4.2) and will take place online on 21–22 September 2026. Participation in this conference is free of charge.

IOCFC 2026 provides a dynamic platform for scholars, researchers, and experts in the field of forecasting to connect, share ideas, and present innovative research. The conference will feature a broad spectrum of forecasting topics, including, but not limited to, the following:
- Energy Forecasting and Analytics;
- AI Forecasting & Large Language Models;
- Forecasting and Econometric Models;
- Weather and Climate Forecasting.

The Awards
Best Oral Presentation/Poster Award and Distinguished Research Award in Forecasting
Number of Awards Available: 5
The winners of the Best Oral Presentation and Best Poster Award will each receive a certificate and CHF 200.
The winner of the Distinguished Research Award in Forecasting will receive a 25-minute presentation slot at the conference, a certificate and monetary prize of CHF 500, and a full publication fee waiver for the journal Forecasting.
