Encyclopedia Studies

The Section “Encyclopedia Studies” accepts original research articles, reviews, and entry manuscripts, thereby making it different to the currently available Sections. The scope of the Section could include the following but not limited to:

• Theoretical and computational studies of scientific data management systems; these include database management, text classification, automatic image segmentation, automatic image annotation, and content-based image or video retrieval;
• Applicative informatics research related to online platform development;
• Studies of scientific communication, including language, scientific writing, oral presentations, scientific illustration, and video development;
• Investigations of the social impact of scientific research;
• Information and knowledge organization in encyclopedias;
• Studies that report or compare projects and/or practices in the use of digital encyclopedias as a didactic tool.
