Recruiting Editorial Board Members Focusing on Agricultural and Food Biotechnology, Environmental and Industrial Biotechnology
BioTech (ISSN: 2673-6284) is currently recruiting prominent scholars working in the field of agricultural and food biotechnology, environmental biotechnology and industrial biotechnology to join our Editorial Board. This is in order to promote the academic exchange of scientists, and support the Editorial Board with additional expertise.
BioTech is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed scientific journal that provides an advanced forum for investigations and discussions related to the study and application of biotechnology.
The journal has high visibility, being indexed within Scopus, SCIE (Web of Science), Inspec, and other databases. In addition, manuscripts are peer-reviewed and a first decision is provided to authors approximately 18.2 days after submission; acceptance to publication is undertaken in 4.5 days (median values for papers published in this journal in the first half of 2024);
Impact Factor: 2.7 (2023);
Citecore: 3.7 (2023).
Application Eligibility:
- Researchers who have completed a doctorate/Ph.D. degree in the past 10 years (considering exceptions for career interruptions, including medical and family leave);
- Researchers with evidence of significant achievements in the field of agricultural and food biotechnology, environmental biotechnology and industrial biotechnology;
- Researchers with a willingness to dedicate time to the development of the journal with passion and enthusiasm;
- Researchers who are active and engaged in their community (e.g., experience with presenting at academic conferences or involvement in professional organizations).

The main responsibilities of Editorial Board Members are as follows:
- Prescreening and making decisions on new submissions related to their research interests;
- Setting up at least one Special Issue during their term on a topic related to their research interests (or supervising Special Issues related to their research field);
- Helping to attract suitable expert authors and invite young scholars to join the Topical Advisory Panel;
- Providing input or feedback regarding journal policies;
- Helping to promote the journal among their peers or at conferences;
- Attending Board meetings to suggest journal development strategies;
- Reviewing manuscripts.
