Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma (OSCC) remains one of the most prevalent and aggressive forms of head and neck cancers, posing significant challenges to global health. Despite advancements in diagnostic techniques, therapeutic strategies, and our understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying OSCC, the prognosis for patients remains suboptimal, with high rates of recurrence and metastasis. This Special Issue of Biomedicines aims to highlight the latest research and innovations in the field of OSCC, providing a comprehensive platform for the dissemination of cutting-edge findings that can drive future progress.

We invite contributions that explore novel diagnostic biomarkers, innovative therapeutic approaches, and the molecular and genetic underpinnings of OSCC. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the role of tumor microenvironment, immune modulation, targeted therapies, and the application of emerging technologies, such as liquid biopsy, single-cell sequencing, and artificial intelligence in OSCC research. Additionally, studies focusing on the prevention of, early detection of, and personalized treatment strategies for OSCC are highly encouraged.

This Special Issue seeks to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and to bridge the gap between basic research and clinical application. By bringing together leading experts and researchers, we aim to advance our collective understanding of OSCC and to translate these insights into improved patient outcomes. We welcome original research articles, reviews, and perspectives that contribute to the evolving landscape of OSCC research.

Join us in this endeavor to push the boundaries of knowledge and to make meaningful strides in the fight against Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Biomedicines is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
