Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Pregnancy is a unique physiological state that presents both opportunities and challenges for maternal and fetal health. Pregnancy-related diseases encompass a range of conditions that can significantly impact maternal well-being and fetal development, including gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, intrauterine growth restriction, and maternal infections. In recent years, with the rapid development of molecular biology technology and genomics, the causes and mechanisms of pregnancy-related diseases have gradually been revealed. Many studies have found that the complex interactions of genetics, environment, and the immune system play important roles in the occurrence and development of pregnancy-related diseases. Although existing treatment strategies have made progress in improving maternal and infant health, many pregnancy-related diseases still lack effective early diagnosis methods and treatments. Therefore, an in-depth exploration of the molecular mechanisms of pregnancy-related diseases and the promotion of new treatment methods remains an urgent challenge in this field.
Our Special Issue aims to bring together the latest research results on pregnancy-related diseases, and explore their molecular mechanisms, diagnosis, and current and future treatment advances. We hope to promote cooperation among researchers by examining pregnancy-related diseases from multiple perspectives, and provide new ideas and strategies for the prevention, early detection, and treatment of pregnancy-related diseases.
I look forward to receiving your contributions.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Biomedicines is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
