Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions have dramatically increased since the industrial revolution; they have built up in the atmosphere and are a cause of global warming. Sustainable CO2 capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) techniques are required, and materials and technologies for CO2 capture and conversion are of interest. However, most of the current CO2 capture and conversion technologies are still undergoing commercialization, due to the unacceptable economic and environmental impacts they have. Nanomaterials are being widely investigated for CO2 capture and conversion processes. Nano absorbents, adsorbents and nanomembranes for CO2 capture, nano catalysts for catalytic CO2 conversion, and the chemical fixation of CO2 are some of the broader applications of nanomaterials for CO2 mitigation. This Special Issue welcomes submissions related to nanostructured materials used in CO2 capture and conversion applications.
