7th International Congress on University Development

The Technical State University of Quevedo is pleased to invite the scientific, academic, professional, business, and student communities to participate in the 7th International Congress on University Development CIDU-2026, under the theme “Weaving networks of knowledge in a digital society”. In the 2025 edition, held in a hybrid format, an outstanding participation was recorded, with 12,762 attendees, three in-person keynote lectures, 50 virtual keynote lectures, and 659 research presentations. The hybrid format made it possible to integrate different modes of presentation and scientific debate, with participants from 67 countries, whose contributions are included in the event’s proceedings book with ISBN and DOI, as well as more than 150 articles published in journals of regional and global impact.
The seventh edition of CIDU will be held from 28 to 30 January 2026, free of charge, and participants will receive digital certificates of attendance or presentation, depending on their registration level. This congress, organised by the Directorate of Research together with the faculties of our university, also aims to create spaces for inter-institutional cooperation through networks, agreements, memoranda of understanding, and scientific publications. Throughout the event, research findings will be shared from a multidisciplinary perspective, considering that digital platforms have democratised access to information and generated new methods of learning and collaboration. In addition, topics related to ethical dilemmas of digitalisation will be addressed, such as data privacy, massive disinformation, the digital divide, and cybersecurity.
