The 13th International Workshop on Structural Health Monitoring

We would like to announce the organization of the 13th IWSHM to be held on August 31-September 2, 2021 at Stanford University, CA. We are planning for an in-person meeting, and we recognize that travel conditions are still uncertain at the moment. IWSHM remains committed to providing a forum for information sharing, collaboration, and advancing research that is vital to our community. In June of 2021, we will reassess the global travel condition. If we determine that we are unable to host an onsite meeting, we will host this event online as a Digital Forum.
The workshop features reviews of SHM growth in the last two decades and examines opportunities for future SHM research and applications. Papers in support of autonomous Inspection and/or intelligent data-driven diagnostic systems and the Industry Internet of Things (IIOT) for preventive maintenance will be highlighted besides general applications in aerospace, mechanical engineering and civil infrastructure.
This biennial workshop aims to assess the current state-of-the-art technologies and to identify key breakthroughs and emerging R&D challenges that are critical to structural health monitoring. The workshop is also intended to promote communication and cross-fertilization between multiple platforms.
Technical presentations will be made by invited and selected distinguished speakers, and plenary discussions on future research directions and “road-map” will be organized. Potential applications of SHM techniques to military and civil structures will be discussed. An exhibition area will be available for product and technology demonstrations.
