Travel Award
Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Evaluation Committee, we are pleased to announce the winner of the 2018 ChemEngineering Travel Award.
This award is granted to Dr. Ponnivalavan Babu, a research fellow under the supervision of Associate Professor Praveen Linga from the National University of Singapore. Dr. Babu’s research focuses on energy, water, and climate change pertaining to clathrate hydrate as a technology enabler.
He will present his work at the 2018 AIChE Annual meeting, which will be held on 28 October 2018 in Pittsburgh, PA, USA.
It was a very difficult decision with such high-quality applications for the awards, and we would like to thank all the applicants in various fields of study for their participation and all the Award Committee members for their evaluation of the abundant excellent applications.
We congratulate Dr. Ponnivalavan Babu for his accomplishment.

Eligibility and Requirements
– Postdoctoral fellows or PhD students, research fellows;–Plans to attend an international conference in 2018 (oral presentation or poster).
List of Documents for Application
– Information of the conference the applicant is planning to attend and the abstract that will be submitted;– Curriculum Vitae and list of publications;
– Justification letter describing the focus of the research (max. 800 words);
– Letter of recommendation from the supervisor, research director, or department head, which also confirms the applicant’s status.
