Reviewer 2 Report

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

1.         Line 17 to 18, the statement is a bit confusing to the audience. Please clarify by rephrasing the statement.

2.         Line 50 to 51, the year in which ICE was developed, should be provided here since it is the FIRST rating system.

3.         Line 132, a reference should be provided for the statement “since they represent the most common typological configuration adopted for road infrastructures”

4.         Line 166, it is unnecessary to insert citations for the statement here. Please remove references 15, 19, and 22.

5.         The authors are highly encouraged to add a new section which is ‘future research directions’, where new research opportunities based on the examinations of those extant green rating systems, are presented and discussed.
