Cover Story: Rotatable seats may benefit social interactions in autonomous cars, but their potential impact on driver take-over control is not fully understood. In this study, drivers showed longer take-over reaction time overall, but they intervened faster after they turned back their seat, which might be at the cost of reduced take-over response quality.
