Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Dear Authors,

congratulations on the draft article. I would like to make the following changes to improve the quality of the draft article:

The Material and Methods chapter is well written, but it would be better to divide it, perhaps to break it down into subsections to make it easier to understand. Please change this.

The form of References is incorrect, please fix it. Among the literature references, there are very few that have been created in the last five years. Please update this.

What is a bigger task: it would be good to have some sort of report on the climate data, research, and measurements that allow us to objectively see the purpose of the article. I recommend rewording the goals and editing the article. It could be supplemented with light or color measurements or physiological measurements or anything that fits the topic.

Author Response

Dear reviewer,

According to your comments we:

- devided chapter Material and Methods

-have corrected the form of References. We also added some new one, also dose which were published about or less then five years ago

  • we added some climatic data from official climate stations about max average T for localities from which described varities were collected, because we did not take environmental factors measurements at the time of speciemens collecting
  • we also added some goals of the reserch

Reviewer 2 Report

Dear authors,

after reading your great work I have a few comments:

-please include a map of each locality from which the plants (specimens) were collected. In the manuscript the authors have described in detail each locality from which the examined samples were taken, but but in order to increase the quality of the paper, I suggest attaching a map with precisely drawn localities.

-In the manuscript the authors do not discuss which standards were used to determine the cultivar of the mentioned autochthonous Cyclamen species. Is there a technical guideline for the determination of investigated traits of leaf and flower on the basis of which the classification by cultivars and lower taxa was carried out? If there is, please specify it in reference list.

Author Response

Dear Reviewer,

According to your su ggestion we

  • added the map with the localities where specimens were collected, specialy we marked those lacilites from where selected varities were found
  • added the standards/method which we used to determine described cultivars
