The authors presented a very interesting experimental and theoretical study on the Control of Chemoconvection in a Rectangular Slot by Changing its Spatial Orientation.

The paper is generally well prepared and can be accepted after minor revision.

The introduction is to be extended.

The novelty of the paper is to be clearly stated.

More details on the measurement techniques and data acquisition system are to be provided.

An experimental uncertainty study is to be performed.

In addition to the experimental study, the authors performed a numerical analysis, thus it is better to change the term ‘’theoretical’’ by ‘’numerical’’ in the title and the text.

The numerical method is to be detailed.

A figure presenting the used mesh is to be added.

A grid sensitivity test is to be performed.

The 3D iso-surfaces of concentration are to be presented.

The paper is to be checked against misprints and grammatical mistakes.

This study is interesting and worth investigating. However, the quality needs to be improved.

Abstract: The objectives and novelty are not emphasized. 

Introduction: Authors should give the outcomes of each paper reviewed and identify clearly the research gap in the literature and clearly state the objectives and novelty of this study.

Results: Cite the source of the Hele-Shaw approximation and Equations stated in the manuscript. The authors did not validate their results with existing studies. There is a need to proofread the manuscript. The uncertainty associated with the measurements carried out in the experiment must be estimated and provided.
