Comments and Suggestions for Authors

At lines 3 and 58 the authors wrote: eLTSER platform Eisenwurzen. Searching for it, I could only find: LTSER platform Eisenwurzen (https://www.lter-austria.at/ltser-plattform-eisenwurzen-ew/). Please check and confirm or change.

Author Response

Dear Reviewer, thank you for your feedback. It should indeed be LTSER instead of eLTSER. We have made the changes in the revised manuscript.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The article deals with the explanation of the content, organization, and access methods of an ecological database. It is a European database containing observational data on elements of the Geosphere, Atmosphere, Hydrosphere, Biosphere, and Sociosphere concerning two areas in Austria, one being a protected area and the other an unprotected area. In my opinion, an article containing this information is of great utility for researchers who need to publish their data and also for researchers who need access to these data or an understanding of the respective methodologies.

The article is well-organized. Despite containing many acronyms that hinder the flow of reading, the article is well-referenced and includes links that aid comprehension. I don't have further comments on the article, except for the duplication of the word 'and' in line 38.

Author Response

Dear reviewer, thank you for your comments. The duplicate has been deleted in the revised manuscript.
