| How data was acquired | The survey data were collected in 2024 using a structured questionnaire administered through face-to-face interviews to a random sample of active patients enrolled in the diabetes control program within a network of health institutions in Cali, Colombia. The data collection instrument consisted of a 43-item questionnaire on knowledge, attitudes, and practices, developed based on the review of 15 previous studies and was refined through two pilot tests. |
