Functional Aloe vera Drink Supplementation: Effect on Athlete Health
Highlights
- The botanical characteristics, chemical composition, preparation procedures, and functions of Aloe vera in sports performance were reviewed using the current literature.
- Aloe vera may boost athletic performance and recovery by providing nutrients and bioactives that reduce muscle fatigue and enhance tissue oxygenation.
- Acemannan from Aloe vera assists in relieving exercise-induced gastrointestinal distress by supporting stable glycemic responses and promoting connective tissue integrity and cellular repair.
