The journal retracts the article “Polymer-Coated Nickel Nanoparticles for CO2 Capture in Seawater” [1], cited above.
Following publication, the authors contacted the Editorial Office with concerns regarding the unauthorized use of material presented in this article [1], originating from a different research group.
Adhering to our standard procedure, an investigation was conducted by the Editorial Office and Editorial Board, which confirmed that, due to an unintentional oversight, the authors had failed to gain appropriate prior written permission to present the nanoparticle synthesis protocol and the Transmission Electron Micrograph images shown in Figure 4. Consequently, the Editorial Board, in agreement with the authors, decided to retract this article [1], as per MDPI’s retraction policy (https://www.mdpi.com/ethics#_bookmark30).
This retraction was approved by the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Separations.
The authors agreed to this retraction.
