Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The heading of Table 1 has parameter values but there are no values. Please fix Table 1.

Please identify the data source for the parameter values listed in Table 3.

Please explain the biological meaning of R1 on page 9.

Equation number 12 needs some justification. Working on equation 11 rather than 12 needs some mathematical rationale. Please give any references for all your section 3.4.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The mathematical model developed by the author(s) is robust and provides valuable insights into the dynamics of the zooplankton-phytoplankton system.  Consider including more visual aids (e.g., diagrams or flowcharts) to help illustrate the relationships between variables for readers less familiar with mathematical modeling. The author (s) need to discuss the stability analysis of the system.  Is definition 1 missing a citation? The author(s) are recommended to discuss the numerical scheme in more detail. The author also needs to discuss the software and packages that have been used for numerical simulation.  It might be beneficial to add a brief discussion on the limitations of your simulations or potential scenarios that were not covered.

Minor grammatical improvements could enhance readability. Consider using a proofreader or language editing service for final revisions.

Good luck
