Comments and Suggestions for Authors

This is a very well-written, well-thought-out, and well-structured manuscript.  The thesis is clearly and succinctly stated, and the flow of the discussion is spot-on.  The support literature is appropriate, voluminous, and it adds gravitas to the findings of the study.  The methods are thoroughly detailed, and again, supported very well.  The entire manuscript is written in clearly understandable language, yet academically rigorous at the same time. This one of the best manuscripts that I have read in a while.  Congrats!

The only very minor suggestion that I can make is that you include a bit of Lipman's definition of critical thinking, as he includes context-dependent and self-correcting as vital aspects of thinking critically.   Again, a very minor issue, and it would complete your otherwise very thorough definition of critical thinking, but it's really not all that important.

Thanks for the Lipman idea, we've inserted into the manuscript.

Dear Authors, it is a very interesting article which opens ways for further research. A  better connection of theory and empirical results would help highlight the research results.
