Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The manuscript is devoted to the deposition of TiO2/SnS heterostructures and the study of their structural properties.

 Reviewer's comments:

1. What is the relevance and motivation of this research? What are the prospects for the practical application of TiO2/SnS heterostructures? The introduction describes each material separately. At the same time, the Introduction is long and does not show the need for studies of TiO2/SnS heterostructures. For what reason was a pair of TiO2 and SnS semiconductors chosen?

 2. In section 2, specify in the text what c-TiO2 (compact...) and m-TiO2 (meso...) mean. It is indicated that the optical absorption spectrum was measured in the wavelength range of 400 – 900 nm. The following text shows the spectra in the wavelength range 200 – 900 nm (ln 302).

 3. Why do you need to use FTO as a substrate? Why did you decide that after etching, FTO is characterized by insulating properties? As a result of the reduction reaction, oxygen-free tin atoms are formed, and the electron concentration is increased!

 4. I recommend to present an XPS study of each semiconductor layer!

 5. Figures 11-14 and 15 are very difficult to understand what they represent. What is the difference between figures a), b) and c) ....? The designation of composite drawings should be strengthened.
