Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Dr. Lui and colleagues presented the article "Research on bending performance of concrete sandwich laminated floor slabs with integrated thermal and sound insulation". The document is well written, the methodology is adequate, and the Authors presented several results that corroborate their hypotheses. However, some details need attention, such as the absence of experimental error (mainly in mechanical tests). In addition, presenting the statistics related to the models obtained by simulation and comparing values with the experimental values (I suggest using RMSE) is essential. Therefore, I suggest that the document be carefully reviewed before being accepted.

The work needs to be revised in accordance with the followings.

1.     Many recent works on the laminated/layered structures and insulation are missing in the review portion of the introduction. Their inclusion is imperative to reflect the advancement relevance and diversity of the authors’ work with the available literature.

2.     Check the section numbering "0. Introduction"

3.     Section 1.1: Provide the reason/reference why the designs are chosen for the study.

4.     Section 4: What are the numbers of nodes and elements used? Material, interaction, boundary conditions, loading, etc. details should be given too.

5.     Figure 20: It doesn't seem to show much difference for C30-C60. Justify and discuss in the paper.
