interesting work

small grammatical mistakes, other than that it's good to go!

Reviewer 2 Report

The paper is well-written with sufficient background information and verification. I suggest the paper to be publsihed as is.

Reviewer 3 Report

The manuscript is well written and makes a useful contribution to knowledge, and should be suitable for publication after minor revision. My detailed comments and suggestions are:

1) Title and scope of application:  What you present is applicable beyond the scope of composite beams made from steel and concrete.   I suggest you generalize the presentation starting with the title.   Using steel-concrete beams as an example of application of your formulas and FE analyses would remain valid.

2) Keywords:   Use simple words rather than phrases.

3) Introduction:   Suggest you consider talking about determination of the effective flexural stiffness (rather than the flexural stiffness) of beams which don’t have simple end supports.

4) Line 134:   I think you mean non-uniform (or something similar) rather than inelastic bending deformation.

5) Line 146:  It should be sections, rather than chapters.
