Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This paper provides a thorough examination of the issues of capturing and representing cultural heritage items in Virtual Space. Although the paper does not present any new theory or methods, I feel that the comprehensive way that it brings together the complete pipeline from capture to visualisation will be of sufficient interest to readers to merit publication. The only improvements I can think of to this work are:

  1. It would be good to see more examples of the icons comprising the iconostasis. Particularly to demonstrate the quality of the capture or areas of improvement.
  2. The English was poor in places and should be improved if possible. There were also some typographical errors, such as words without spaces between them in a few sections.

Reviewer 2 Report

The work is of significant interest and original in the approach. The methodology used is well illustrated and the results achieved are important not only in reference to the object studied but in general for the purpose of disseminating the cultural heritage that is difficult to access.
The graphic apparatus and the images accompanying the text are good, but in some cases, they are too small to allow correct reading.
Bibliographical references are very detailed, which include international publications with a good editorial position.
