Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

General Remarks:

·

Specific remarks:

·       Line 61-64: You need to provide authoritative literature for this argument: In an effort to recover and develop MSMEs in agriculture, human resources are the main determining factor for the success of development, in addition to other basic capital such as physical capital, social capital, financial capital and natural capital. One of the reasons for the existence of poverty is due to a person's weak access to the five basic capitals.

·       Line 64: in addition to other basic capital such as physical capital, social capital, financial capital and natural capital. One of the reasons for the existence of poverty is due to a person's weak access to the five basic capitals. You mentioned there five basic capitals. However, there are only four in the text (physical capital, social capital, financial capital and natural capital).

·       Line 65: you mentioned productive knowledge twice. It was redundancy, please remove one of them.

·       Line 165: The pandemic limit the limited space….. I suggest you to use other word to limited space to avoid redundancy.

·       Line 178: please don’t write title “Dr” in cited literature: of business you have and the size of the business started (Dr. Sudaryono, 2017).

·       Line 185-190: is Rp 20.000.000.000 and a 185 minimum of Rp 500.000 for initial capital… I suggest you to make the equivalent currency in Dollars for international readers, not only in Rupiah.

·       Line 224: The level of empowerment of MSME performers in Surakarta. It would be best if you consistently used MSME Actors rather than MSME performers.

·       Line 292: he loans are not from banks, but from savings and loans at the RT level…. It would be best if you found the equal word for RT (Rukun Tetangga) in English.

·       Line 391: where he lives, as long as there is still water from the PDAM that can be used to irrigate. It would be best if you mentioned the equal word in English for the first mentioned in the text for PDAM (Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum).

·       Line 394: you mentioned kale twice.

·       Line 599: The figure 1 still use Bahasa Pemberdayaan, Keberdayaan, Persepsi. It would be best if you translate them in English.

·       Line 645: Economic capital (economic capital) … You wrote the words twice. Please remove one of them.

Dear Authors. Let me present my compliments. Please consider the following suggestions:

1. Revise the title to become more attractive and the two words not repeated

2. You need to support your affirmations during all the Introduction

3. The literature review is very poor

4. The findings and contributions are not clear, you must explicit it.

Reviewer 3 Report

Paper is interesting but is not well drafted. Introduction is too long and motivation is not well mentioned. Hypothesis are poorly formulated and research methodology is not very well presented. In such studies, the main element is research protocol and its reliability. Then comes its execution and finally presentation of the results. This is presented in messy style and must be scientifically presented to researchers. Discussion section is too long. What future work do you expect of this work in different industries? what were threats to validity and how did you addressed them?
