Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The manuscript is well written, described, and provides interesting results for bioaccumulation using Mycorrhizal-Assisted Phytomining (MAP) system. I recommend it for publication without further revision. One suggestion I would like to make to authors is to include a mechanistic pictorial flow chart of the process.

Author Response

Point 1: One suggestion I would like to make to authors is to include a mechanistic pictorial flow chart of the process.

Response 1: Dear Editor and reviewer 1, thank you for your suggestions. We included a pictorial flow chart as a graphical abstract for a better comprehension.

Reviewer 2 Report

The article concerns an interesting and at the same time important issue related to bimetallurgy and the recovery of metals from mine waste. In the introduction, the authors have comprehensively presented the issue and the justification for taking up the subject. The presented research methodology does not raise any objections. The results are presented graphically and in tables. Some comments:

- line 90-93 - not clear, requires changes

lines 107 and 123 subscript in ZnSO4

- line 115 - natural temperature - requires clarification

- line 128 - assign parameters, not list them at the end, which are physicochemical, which are hydraulic

- line 142-143 - superscripts

- Figure 2 - marks A, b, C

line 172 - is P metal?

Author Response

Dear Editor and reviewer, we improved the manuscript as your suggestions.

Point 1: - line 90-93 - not clear, requires changes

Response 1: Lines 90-93 were improved.

Point 2: - lines 107 and 123 subscript in ZnSO4

Response 2: Thank you, it was corrected.

Point 3: - line 115 - natural temperature - requires clarification

Response 3: Temperature values were clarified.

Point 4: - line 128 - assign parameters, not list them at the end, which are physicochemical, which are hydraulic

Response 4: Parameters were clarified.

Point 5: - line 142-143 - superscripts

Response 5: Thank you, it was corrected.

Point 6: - Figure 2 - marks A, b, C

Response 6: Figure 2 improved.

Point 7: line 172 - is P metal?

Response 7: Thank you, it was corrected.
