Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

An adaptive model for the CAS-OB process with real-time application is described. With adopting a Kalman filter as an estimator, the prediction power of the model is improved considerably. In general, the manuscript is clearly written and the model is well presented/validated. I would like to recommend its publication.

The authors are suggested to consider the following points:

1) The physical meanings of theta and F in Eq. 2 are not clearly described while expected;

2) The model has been presented in Ref. 5, it would be nice if the new development could be highlighted.

Author Response

1) You are correct. The meaning of the two parameters are not clearly stated, and will be corrected in the revised version.
2) The model changes are quite minor, but the changes and new developments will be commented on in the revised version.

Reviewer 2 Report

Please change discussion part to conclusion.

Author Response

We will change the "Discussion" part to "Conclusion", as suggested.
