Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The finding of four new species belonging to a taxonomically interesting genus Eoneureclipsis is important, and the descriptions and illustrations of them are well written. However, discussions on the status of the subfamily Eoneureclipsinae and the relationship among Psychomyiidae genera are problematic. I think it is difficult to discuss them based on only mtCOI data.

It is better to discuss the monophyly of the genus Eoneureclipsis and the relationship among species in this genus based on the morphological and molecular data.

I have also put several suggested corrections and comments on the manuscript.

Reviewer 2 Report

This article is scientifically sound. It reviews very well the current knowledge about the subject genus and its included species, employs modern techniques that are appropriate to assess the morphological and molecular differences of the subject species, and provides adequate data and illustrations to enable others to recognize the new species. The English language is good, but includes several grammatical errors, including some errors peculiar to the subject matter that may not be recognized by staff editors.
