In the paper author described Observer-based control of tilting-pad thrust bearings. The described method is based on two approaches, one is based on the ESDU 83004 system, the other is based on finite element analysis. In my opinion, the developed method can be used in real systems based on tilting-pad and can contribute to increasing their reliability. The conclusions are formulated in a informative manner.

From the editorial point of view, I consider the work to be correct. The drawings are legible and correspond to the content of the article. In my opinion, the text is legible and easy to read. The article contains 12 literature items that have been used in the text. An appendix with the formulas and data adopted in the analysis of the model was attached to the thesis. 

I do not feel competent to assess the correctness of the English language.

  4. The conclusion section be written point wise with more quantification.
  5. The mathematical equations be rechecked for any errors.
  6. The design of the pads be depicted in a more elaborate manner with all dimensions shown in a diagram.

The manuscript present an original and interesting study on the active control of HD tilting – pad thrust bearings.  Some comments and observations can be made to improve the quality of the manuscript.
