Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The manuscript External validation of a risk stratification score for B3 breast lesions detected at ultrasound core needle biopsy presents the study regarding externally validation, the feasibility and robustness of a risk-stratification score for B3 lesions based on clinical, pathological and radiological data for improved clinical decision making. The manuscript presents very important results that can affect the correctness of decision making, regarding breast surgery Results are presented in a clear way, data collection and analysis were performed corectly. I consider statistical analysis based on the correct tools (software ) to be particularly strong point of the manuscript.I recomend to publish the manuscript in a present form.

Author Response

We appreciate the interest and the comment of the reviewer to publish the article in its present form.

Reviewer 2 Report

The paper is well written and the methodology is fine. The authors are validating a previously published algorithm for managing B3 lesions on US core biopsy. The number are small and acknowledged by
the authors but still of importance. The authors should reference guidelines from UK as well as Europe

Author Response

We have addressed the minor concerns of the second reviewer, checking English language and minor spell check, highlighted using "Track Changes".  As suggested, we have added more reference guidelines from UK as well as Europe, specifically considering the paper by Pinder SE ed all. “NHS Breast Screening multidisciplinary working group guidelines for the diagnosis and management of breast lesions of uncertain malignant potential on core biopsy (B3 lesions)”.
