Comments and Suggestions for Authors

This study investigates the influence of the LPBF parameters on the microstructure and properties of Ag-Diamond (Ag-D) composites. Thorough characterization and analysis was performed and the manuscript is easy to read. Before this manuscript can be accepted for publication, a few questions need to be addressed:

1. The authors investigated the mechanical performance of the Ag-D composites fabricated using different processing parameters. Although the difference regarding the modulus and UTS are quite substantial as shown in Fig. 12, the underlying mechanism resulting in the different behavior is not explained in detail. Can the authors comment on this aspect?

2. The authors have provided detailed characterization of the surface finish, porosity and tomography, however, little is known about the grain size, distribution of D particles of the Ag-D composites, which could help understand the properties and performance of the Ag-D composites and provide further guidelines to optimize the processing parameters. The authors may consider examining the materials by SEM or justifying why this information is not of interest in this study.
