Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The authors present a novel method to solve HRM inverse kinematics. The effectiveness of the approach is verified through various simulations and experiments.

I appreciate that the authors present a comprehensive overview of related work and problem background in sections 1 and 2. This helps the reader have an overall picture before digging deep down into the approach.

The authors also explain in very detail their approach. I especially like that the author did several experiments in both simulations and set up a real-life experiment to prove the advantage of their system. The method is presented very clearly and reasonably to replicate. The approach's result is presented very clearly to show the benefit of their approach.

However, I would suggest the following to make the illustration clear:

  • Figure 1: use different color sets; pink and green make things hard to read.
  • Figure 2: make the notation bigger and also use another text color.
  • Figure 3: make the chart bigger; use solid color (please do not use color gradient)
  • Figure 12-13: change the green line to another color (green is hard to see on-screen or printout).

From the change in figures, I suggest authors proofread the entire document, as there are many grammar errors and typos throughout the paper.

This paper presented an interesting approach and proved to be effective. The author should make a few edits (change the color scheme in their figures, fix grammar and typos). Then this paper is ready for publication.

Author Response

Figure 1: use different color sets; pink and green make things hard to read.

Response: Thank you very much for your comments and suggestions. According to your suggestion, the color in the picture has been uniformly changed to black.

Figure 2: make the notation bigger and also use another text color.

Response: According to your suggestion, the whole picture has been enlarged and the text color changed to black.

Figure 3: make the chart bigger; use solid color (please do not use color gradient)

Response: According to your suggestion, the chart was enlarged and the gradient and fill were removed.

Figure 12-13: change the green line to another color (green is hard to see on-screen or printout).

Response: According to your suggestion, the green lines have been deepened for viewing.

Response: According to your suggestion, the whole article was checked, the color scheme of the diagram was changed, and the grammar and spelling were revised.
