Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Please,  pay more attention to the technical design of the paper. The maps are too small (Figure 5.), but Table 1., 4. is too large! It is problematic to understand the visual representation of the results (due to scale).

Answer: Thanks for pointing this out. We are sorry that these parts are not beautiful and suitable. We resized all the maps and tables.

Reviewer 2 Report

The manuscript "Spatio-temporal Evolution and Influencing Factors of High-quality Development in Yunnan-Guizhou, Region Based on the Perspective of Beautiful China and SDGs." Authors consider 25 prefectures and cities in the Yunnan-Guizhou region as an objective to refer to beautiful China and the United Nations sustainable development goals (SDGs) evaluation indexes by considering the change in the urban built-up area, per capita GDP, total foreign trade value, tourism revenue, and total fixed assets investment as main factors.

  • Scientific language of this manuscript seems so poor. Moderate English changes are required.
  • The discussion section shouldn’t be mixed with the conclusion. Please separate it from the conclusion. The discussion section after the conclusion of the research seems so odd.
  • Usually, authors validate their results with previously done studies in the discussion. The present discussion doesn’t support the authors' findings; it merely seems to support their topic instead of findings. The discussion section should be modified entirely.
  • The conclusion section needs to be revised.
  • It’s recommended to add a “limitation” section before the conclusion to discuss the limitations of your work.
  • Any scale for the values in Table 2.
  • Line 176. It’s better to add the Entropy weight-TOPSIS model details here instead of refereeing other manuscripts to check the model details.
  • Any subheadings etc., for Line 298, 309, 320, 334, 334.
  • Line 24. It's better to mention the study period.
  • Line 29. Add a few pieces of information related to the application/importance of this research.
  • Line 34. Any reference for that 18th report to check the details.
  • Please recheck the citation "2."
  • Line 41-43. "Covering five dimensions of " or "covering five dimensions"??
  • Line 58. Mention the complete name of "Party.". I think the authors are referring to the "Communist Party of China (CPC)."
  • Line 60. “topic” or “topics”
  • Line 103. Any reference or citation for the 14th five-year plan?
  • Figure 1. Please add the names of the study area's surrounding borders to present the study area's location clearly.
  • Line 128. “double thousand project”??? add Proper details with references.
  • Line 140-141. Proper references/citations are required.
  • Line 162. Reference/details to check/verify?
  • Line 178. Proposed by scholars like WANG et al.,” what does “Like” mean
  • Line 179. geographical things???
  • Please add a proper citation for “Geographic-weighted regression (GWR).”
  • Line 270-272. The use of “>” is so odd. It just seems all previous factor is greater than the next one.
  • Line 301. Add a “.” So finish the previous line, and start a new one.
