Comments and Suggestions for Authors

In this paper, a distributed flood simulation framework specifically adapted to parallel ridge-valley topography was developed, coupled with a sequential intelligent parameter optimization algorithm. The following comments should be concerned to improve the manuscript.

  1. The introduction can be improved with the research field, the related methods and the solution in this research.
  2. The research site in this study can be analyzed in the material and methods part.
  3. More discussion is needed in the results and discussion part.
  4. By the field modelling, the function of the intelligent parameter fusion for distributed flood modeling can be analyzed, and if this modelling can be used in other field study?

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

I would like to thank the authors for the time and effort dedicated to revising the manuscript and for thoughtfully considering my suggestions. The manuscript is now clearer and significantly improved.

I have just one additional suggestion: on line 60, please change the section title from "2. The Study Area" to "2. Study Area" for consistency and clarity.
