Role of Pond Sediments for Trapping Pesticides in an Agricultural Catchment (Auradé, SW France): Distribution and Controlling Factors
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
General: The study is to examine the role of pond for pesticide behaviors, it looks a lot of effort was required. The issue is one of important studies since there is a need to investigate nonpoint source pollution management techniques still. The study will be useful-fundamental data for the technique improvement.
I really enjoyed reading the manuscript, the results regarding table 1 and figure 5 were pretty interesting to me.
Thus, I do not have significant comments for the manuscript, however there is a need to revise the manuscript before publication.

What a great paper!
The topic of the manuscript falls within the aim and scope of Water. The manuscript is very interesting and worth publishing in an international journal.
The ponds are suitable wetland environments to control the pesticide content in soil and water and subsequently to protect the ecosystems. Their investigation at a catchment scale is an interesting topic.
Some comments are incorporated in the annotated .pdf file.
Well done to all authors!
