Dear Author(s),
The manuscript Polymers 2022 and titled “Comparison and Optimization: Research on the Structure of PET Bottle Bottom Based on Finite Element Method” was reviewed. It is a regular paper with an interesting subject with a FEM approach.
The research aim is to explain the effect of geometry of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) beverage bottles via finite element methods. Then, propose calculating technique could improve the design of PET bottles.
Paper is well written and it was quite explained for reader stand points. Findings from the research were acceptably discussed considering the literature, and conclusion was consistent with generated data.
It was evaluated that it is a regular paper and finding could attract readers especially practisinary, research engineers and persons in the state of the art. The manuscript can be accepted after some revisions.
1. Please provide some information on alternative failure criteria out of Von Mises related to polymer based materials.
2. Please provide some information on polymer structure related to creep and atmospheric conditions.
3. If possible, please put some figures of fractured structure.
My best regards,

This article contains the results of a comparative analysis of the stress state in typical designs of the bottom of a plastic bottle. The authors present to the reader successful attempts to optimize the shape of the mentioned objects. The general idea, purpose and methods of the research are clear to me. I recommend publishing the paper as presented.
