Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This paper describes an original and interesting work. As such, it has the potential to be published in Catalysts. However, I have the following comments that the authors should carefully implement in the revised manuscript prior to publication.

1) The following work should also be cited in the revised manuscript: Topics in Catalysis, 2021, 64(3-4), pp. 256–269.

2) Introduction - In order to give more strength to the reason for this work, the connection between its aim and the literature gaps should be more deeply discussed.

3) In the discussion, the practical impact of the results obtained in this work should be better highlighted.

4) Conclusion - The authors should give a structured outlook on future research work.

I’m willing to review the revised manuscript.

Reviewer 2 Report

The authors prepared Cu-CeO2 catalysts via reverse microemulsion method.

The manuscript can be accepted after minor revision.

1. Please define all acronyms at their first appearance.

2. How about the catalyst's stability?

3. Please provide HRTEM image of the catalyst and describe more on the nanostructure.
