Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Dear editor

I’ve gone through the document titled “Dynamic Vegetation Changes in the Arctic: A Comprehensive Review of Earth Observation Applications.” I must appreciate efforts from the authors for putting together such an interesting and detailed review!

Here are a few suggestions for improvements:

·       Abstract: It’s thorough, but could be more concise. Try summarizing the key findings and their impacts in a few sentences.

·       Introduction: Good overview, but it would be even better with a brief mention of the methodologies used in the reviewed studies to set the stage.

·       Literature Review: The review is broad, but adding more recent publications from 2023 and 2024 would make it more current.

·       Results: The figures are great, but additional visual aids like heatmaps or interactive maps could better illustrate the spatial distribution of vegetation changes. Also, include more detailed statistical analysis of the trends, with confidence intervals and significance levels.

·       Discussion: Compare the findings with other regions experiencing similar climatic changes to provide a broader context. Also, strengthen the discussion on potential causal relationships between observed vegetation changes and environmental factors.

·       Conclusion: Summarize the key findings and their implications succinctly. Highlight the most critical insights and their relevance to future research and policy-making. Clearly outline specific areas for future research, including potential methodological improvements and new technologies.

·       Other Comments: Discuss the potential policy implications of your findings. How can this research inform climate policy, conservation efforts, and sustainable development in the Arctic?

I hope the authors find these comments helpful for improving their excellent manuscript.

Comments on the Quality of English Language

The quality of English does not limit my understanding of the research, however it does need to be improved dramatically. I found a large number of typographical errors, incomplete sentences and grammar errors throughout the entire manuscript. Please make sure these issues are corrected.
