Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The species name mentioned for the first time in the abstract should be written long, like Escherichia coli. It can then be abbreviated as E. coli.

Adding Escherichia coli to keywords would be appropriate.

Why this study is needed and its importance should be emphasized at the end of the introduction.

The visibility quality of Figure 1 should be improved.

It would be appropriate to write copper (Cu) instead of cuprum (Cu) in line 163.

It would be appropriate to write the symbol of zinc on line 210.

It is convenient to rewrite lines 256-257. For example, “Almost all metals, both essential (Fe, Mn, Cu) and non-essential (Cd and Pb) elements were fell-down from wet to dry season”.

Dear Sir,

The work is interesting and well structured; the manuscript can be accepted for publication after minor revisions. Kindly see the comments list.

List of comments

  • Due to limited research in Indonesia, only a few studies have been carried out to examine the relationship between land use and water quality parameters approaching PCA analysis…………..provide the citation.
  • In Semarang, a studied the influence of land use on water quality using the pollution index method…….provide the citation.
  • Give the geocoordinates of the study area in the materials and methods section.
  • The abstract and conclusion part should be revised with numeric data.
