Dear Authors,

Thank you for your effort in order to shape this manuscript.

I believe the manuscript have many strong areas; however, it needs to be strengthened in some sections. You can find my recommendations below:

- Please provide more precise sentences about the aim of your work and why it is needed in this particular study area.

- Discussion section must be improved thoroughly with relevant references. Please explain why the parameters related to body composition and age may affect occupational performance of police officers. You should also mention possible differences between male and female police officers.

Best regards

“Body Composition and Physical Activity of Female Police Officers: Do Occupation and Age Matter?”

1. Originality: This is an interesting manuscript that can contribute to research in healthcare fields, particularly among police officers. Despite the importance of the topic, there are some major conceptual and methodological issues with writing clarity that need to be clarified and addressed in this manuscript. A major revision of this manuscript is required to bring the manuscript up to qualifying publication.

2. Introduction:

- The introduction, the author unclearly expressed the significance of the study and failed to address the theoretical underpinning of this research, body composition, and physical activity. The authors should strongly address the gap of this study. What is exactly new in this study?

- The theoretical framework is unclearly addressed especially the theoretical underpinning of this research. Even though the author has explained some ideas but from my point of view, it is still unclear. Please kindly describe more about the concept of this study used, its importance, and its application to the healthcare settings.

- It is important to mention about police officers' issues in the Republic of Serbia. Why does this issue need to address in this country? Please provide more details.

3. Methodology:

There are some methodological issues in this manuscript that need to be clarified and addressed.

- Please add a sub-heading about “Research Design” and provide more details about this study.

- What sampling technique and procedure were used? What were the inclusion criteria for the selection of the participants, please explain in more detail.

- The authors failed to describe all research instruments in terms of psychometric properties; how was it validated, and in which language? It is insufficient to merely provide Cronbach α values as evidence of robust validity. Also, please provide more details on how many items (questions) are in each instrument.

- Why did the authors sub-divided both groups of officers into three age sub-groups: “29 years and younger, 30-39 years, and 40 years and more”? Please explain in more detail.

4. Results and Discussion:

- Please add more “Recommendations”. The authors may think about the stakeholders, persons, or agencies that the authors need to communicate the findings from this research with.

- Please provide the details on the topics of practicality and/or research implications to practice and future research.

Line 18 - 19. I recommend rephrasing the sentence. "This study investigated the differences...." and "to assess the differences when officers...". You could instead write for example: "This study aimed to investigate... and to assess...".

Line 33: words inserted in the title such as physical activity do not usually go in the keywords.

Line 48: separate [5] from "conducted" with a space

Line 59: "However, the research literature on female police officers remains scarce." If present, insert a reference.

Line 62 - 65. It was not specified in the introduction why you chose these two types of professions.

The method, results and discussion are quite well explained.

In the conclusion you should give a synthesis of the results obtained, followed by practical implications.
