Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Dear Authors,

The paper presents the relationship between shadow work and the discontinuance of mobile shopping apps. The research is based on only 266 completed questionnaires. It is a very small sample and does not represent a global interest, it is just a study without impact. Under these conditions, the paper is not of international interest.

This study should be supplemented by the following:

  • To emphasize the need for this study.
  • The introductory section can be completed with other studies conducted in this field.
  • To highlight the objectives of the study.
  • To highlight the gaps filled by the present study.
  • The conclusions section should be completed with a review of the study.

Best regards,

Reviewer 2 Report

The paper explores the relationship between shadow work and the discontinuance of mobile shopping apps and introduces an integrative model to assess the their interrelationship.

  1. The following sentences are worth improvement due to minor grammar or academic writing context. line number: 44-46; 57-58; 62; 70-72; 76;79-81; 94-95; 112-113; 127; 204; 226-227; 235; 244; 302
  2. The literature reviews (line 59-67) are not sufficient to conclude why the proposed work in this paper is necessary. I would suggest deeply clarify where the challenge is by referring a few more studies.
  3. The practical implications are broad (313-317), I would suggest to specify detailed strategies for mobile app development.
  4. The geography background of the respondents are not explained in the paper, probably most of them are from Korea? If so, it would suggest to clarify the findings of this study is obtained in the Korea market in the 'Limitations and Future Research'. As I think  mobile app shopping is still under development in a lot of regions or countries, the proposed challenges and questions may even not exist in those places, therefore it is needed to clarify the findings of this study has sort of limitation or requirements in study context.
