The journal retracts the article titled “LiDAR-IMU-UWB-Based Collaborative Localization” [1], cited above.
Following the publication, the authors contacted the Editorial Office to raise concerns regarding the study’s methodology.
Adhering to our standard procedure, the Editorial Office and the Editorial Board conducted an investigation that confirmed inconsistencies within the data presented. During the experiment, the authors reported that a prior map was not shielded, which resulted in the high positioning accuracy of the experiment. In the subsequent experiments, the authors found that the presented method could not achieve the same positioning effect in an unknown environment, which had a significant impact on the reliability of the results of the paper. Furthermore, additional concerns were brought to the attention of the Editorial Office regarding an overlap between this publication [1] and a previously published article [2] produced by a different authorship group. A follow-up investigation confirmed a partial overlap between these two articles [1,2], without an appropriate acknowledgment or citation. As a result, the Editorial Board and the authors have decided to retract this article as per MDPI’s retraction policy (https://www.mdpi.com/ethics#_bookmark30).
This retraction was approved by the Editor-in-Chief of the World Electric Vehicle Journal.
