Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This paper represents a significant new contribution and should be published after the recommended minor changes are implemented.

There is a problem with chapter numbering which should be fixed.

Table 2, Can the authors determine the bulk modulus with two decimals precision?

Regarding the bulk moduli I miss a comparison with other materials to the results into contexts. For instance, for B1+2 coal seam the value is 11.54 GPa, which is comparable to the bulk modulus of metal-organic framework [J. Navarro Sanchez et al, Dalton Trans., 2018, 47, 10654-10659] and in Middle rock pillar is 32.77 GPa, which is comparable to the bulk modulus of graphite [B. Sundqvist, Physics Reports 909 (2021) 1-73. For readers not familiar with values of bulk moduli it should be stated that “A material with a bulk modulus of 10 GPa loses one percent of its volume when subjected to an external pressure of 0.1 GPa (~1000 bar). Implementing this comment will make the paper much more readable.

Reviewer 2 Report

Hao et. al. presented their work about the bending effect and rock burst mechanism. The purpose of this work was important and some good results were shown.

This is an unqualified or insufficient manuscript. This manuscript looks like a master thesis in Chinese. The authors translated it to the English version using Google. Please ask someone to go through this manuscript. Some words, such like “This paper discusses”, “Many experts and scholars”, must be corrected. English writing must be needed significantly improved.

Although no pretty new content is shown inside, it is hard work. However, I think the paper can be rewritten, even rejected in this presented form. Lots of room can be improved.

Too-long conclusions confused the readers. The authors listed 4 items here. Please shorten it.
