Reviewer 2 Report

The present manuscript is a resubmission where the authors evaluated plant growth, mineral composition, polyphenol profile and aroma volatile components of two perilla genotypes were assessed in response to salinity (non-salt control, 10, 20 or 30 mM NaCl).

As I mentioned in my previous report, the manuscript is very interesting, very well addressed and within the aim and scope of the journal. The results are clearly presented and adequately discussed, while the methodology is clearly described.

Overall the manuscript is exceptionally written and it seems a native English speaker has assumed the final editing. Moreover, all the minor comments that I mentioned in my previous report have been addressed, while the newly added parts have added to the overall excelence of the manuscript.

Therefore, I recommend the acceptance of the manuscript in its current form.
