Selected papers from International Symposium on Climate Adaptation and Low-Carbon Cities 2025
Topic Information
Dear Colleagues,
Global climate change and rapid urbanization have posed unprecedented challenges to cities, particularly in terms of energy use, carbon emissions, and climate resilience. Addressing these issues requires integrative approaches that combine advanced technologies, innovative design strategies, and multi-scale governance pathways.
This Topic, “Selected papers from International Symposium on Climate Adaptation and Low-Carbon Cities 2025”, aims to bring together cutting-edge research and practice to explore pathways for sustainable urban development. We invite original contributions focusing on low-carbon building design, climate-adaptive technologies, blue–green infrastructure, resilient urban planning, and the integration of human health and ecological security in the built environment.
Papers employing interdisciplinary methods, novel modeling techniques, and empirical case studies are particularly encouraged. Submissions from participants in the 2025 International Symposium on Climate Adaptation and Low-Carbon Cities (ISCLCC 2025), as well as from the broader academic and professional communities, are highly welcome.

Preprints.org is a multidisciplinary platform offering a preprint service designed to facilitate the early sharing of your research. It supports and empowers your research journey from the very beginning.
MDPI Topics is collaborating with Preprints.org and has established a direct connection between MDPI journals and the platform. Authors are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity by posting their preprints at Preprints.org prior to publication:
- Share your research immediately: disseminate your ideas prior to publication and establish priority for your work.
- Safeguard your intellectual contribution: Protect your ideas with a time-stamped preprint that serves as proof of your research timeline.
- Boost visibility and impact: Increase the reach and influence of your research by making it accessible to a global audience.
- Gain early feedback: Receive valuable input and insights from peers before submitting to a journal.
- Ensure broad indexing: Web of Science (Preprint Citation Index), Google Scholar, Crossref, SHARE, PrePubMed, Scilit and Europe PMC.
