Dear Colleagues,
Urologic oncology remains one of the most rapidly evolving areas of contemporary cancer medicine. Prostate cancer, bladder cancer, kidney cancer, upper tract urothelial carcinoma, and testicular cancer continue to represent a major clinical burden worldwide, while advances in diagnostics, imaging, pathology, minimally invasive surgery, systemic treatment, and translational research are reshaping patient management. At the same time, clinicians face increasingly complex questions regarding risk stratification, treatment personalization, integration of new technologies, and optimal sequencing of local and systemic therapies.
In recent years, the field has seen significant progress in multiparametric imaging, molecular and urinary biomarkers, robotic and organ-sparing surgery, radioguided techniques, and multimodal approaches in advanced disease. These developments create important opportunities, but also require critical evaluation of their real clinical utility, oncologic benefit, and relevance for everyday practice. Bridging the gap between innovation and implementation is therefore essential.
This Special Issue aims to present and disseminate the most recent advances in urologic oncology, with particular emphasis on clinically meaningful diagnostic strategies, surgical innovations, translational research, and multidisciplinary care pathways. We welcome original research articles, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, narrative reviews, and expert perspectives addressing both established and emerging topics across the spectrum of urologic malignancies.
Topics of interest for publication include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Prostate cancer diagnostics, biomarkers, and risk stratification
- Advances in robotic and minimally invasive urologic oncology surgery
- Bladder cancer management, including perioperative and multimodal treatment
- Renal cancer surgery, systemic therapy, and translational biomarkers
- Upper tract urothelial carcinoma and organ-sparing strategies
- Lymph node metastases, tumor biology, and immune evasion
- Radioguided surgery and image-guided approaches in uro-oncology
- Histopathological predictors and prognostic models
- Real-world evidence and outcomes research in urologic malignancies
- Multidisciplinary and personalized approaches to uro-oncologic care

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process.
