Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery
Section Information
The Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery section focuses on the dissemination of high-quality research, innovative surgical techniques, and clinical advancements in the field of cardiothoracic and vascular surgery. We aim to provide a platform for surgeons and researchers to share evidence-based findings that enhance patient care and surgical outcomes for disorders of the heart, lungs, esophagus, and vascular system.
Scope
- Cardiac Surgery: Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve repair/replacement, heart transplantation, and congenital heart surgery.
- Thoracic Surgery: Lung resection (lobectomy/pneumonectomy), mediastinal surgery, esophageal surgery, and chest wall reconstruction.
- Vascular Surgery: Aneurysm repair (EVAR/TEVAR), carotid endarterectomy, peripheral arterial disease (PAD), and venous interventions.
- Innovative Technologies: Robotic-assisted surgery, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), and 3D printing in surgical planning.
