Recruiting Section Editors-in-Chief for Proteomes


Proteomes
(ISSN 2227-7382) is recruiting Section Editors-in-Chief for the following three new Sections:

  • “Microbial Proteomics”;
  • “Plant Proteomics”;
  • “Animal Proteomics”.

Proteomes is an open access, peer reviewed journal focused on all aspects of proteome analysis with a special focus on the quantification and characterization of the proteome at the level of proteoforms and the functional biological units of canonical amino acid sequences. It is indexed by the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics), PubMed, Scopus, and other databases. The CiteScore for Proteomes in 2021 was 5.9. The responsibilities of the Section Editor-in-Chief include:

  • Defining the aims and scope of the Section;
  • Advising on the strategic development of the Section;
  • Providing support and guidance to Editorial Board Members and editorial staff where required;
  • Maintaining oversight of the editorial process to ensure the quality of the published content and discuss possible improvements;
  • Suggesting themes/subjects for Special Issues and assisting in inviting Guest Editors to lead them;
  • Inviting distinguished scientists to join the Editorial Board;
  • Performing pre-checks of new manuscripts, final decisions after peer review and revisions when requested;
  • Acting as an ambassador for the journal, MDPI, and Open Access publishing.
