Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The recent COVID-19 pandemic complex crisis has demonstrated how critical is to have the necessary knowledge and adequate knowledge management in order to find solutions to the multiple problems that this crisis generates. The absence of knowledge and of efficient knowledge management systems has forced many companies to close their business or to find some surviving solutions. The absence of knowledge concerning this new type of virus and the potential consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic has led to drastic governmental decisions and to lockdowns in most countries. Knowledge management has proven to be critical in developing emergent knowledge strategies and in strenghtening organizational resilience. In the post-pandemic business environment, knowledge management faces new challenges in both research and practice, and the purpose of this Special Issue is to understand these challenges. Additionally, there are new challenges for universities in creating new programs to address these needs. The following are some suggestions for potential contributions to this Special Issue:
- New ideas, models, and theories concerning knowledge dynamics and knowledge management.
- The role of knowledge dynamics between rational, emotional, and spiritual fields of knowledge in coping with crises and with employees’ behavior during crises.
- The new work–life balance among knowledge workers in the context of remote working.
- Changing paradigms in strategic thinking and developing emergent knowledge strategies to cope with increasing uncertainty.
- New challenges for knowledge creation and knowledge sharing to increase innovation.
- Customer knowledge management as a new trend in developing open innovation.
- Spirituality as a new challenge for work–life balance and value creation.
- Integrating the new technological advancements and artificial intelligence applications in the new dynamics of knowledge management systems.
- Vulnerabilities and risks in knowledge management systems.
